Mr. Chikoro holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree obtained from the University of Zimbabwe in 2021. His dedication to continuous professional growth is reflected in his advanced academic achievements, including a Master of Laws in Constitutional and Electoral Law from the University of Zimbabwe, completed in 2024. These qualifications equip him with a deep understanding of complex constitutional, governance, and electoral frameworks—insights that significantly enrich his legal practice.

In addition to his legal training, Mr. Chikoro also holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree (University of Zimbabwe, 2013), a qualification that gives him a solid grounding in finance, accounting, auditing, and business operations. Prior to joining private legal practice, Mr. Chikoro gained extensive experience in the finance and accounting sector. Mr. Godfrey Macheyo is the esteemed founder and Managing Partner of Macheyo Law Chambers, bringing with him over three decades of distinguished service within Zimbabwe’s legal and judicial systems. A seasoned legal practitioner with deep institutional knowledge, he completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Zimbabwe in 1988, laying the foundation for a career defined by integrity, judicial excellence, and unwavering commitment to justice.

He began his professional journey in 1989 when he joined the Ministry of Justice as a Magistrate stationed at Rotten Row Magistrates Court. His exceptional work ethic and sound judgment saw him serve in several key judicial stations across the country. He presided at Kwekwe Magistrates Court for three years, followed by another two years at Gwanda Magistrates Court. Recognised for his competence and leadership, he was transferred to Filabusi Magistrates Court where he served as a Resident Magistrate for three years, later assuming the same role at Rusape Magistrates Court for an additional two years.

Mr. Macheyo’s career further advanced when he was promoted to Provincial Magistrate for Matabeleland South Province, a role he held for two years before returning to Rotten Row as a Regional Magistrate, where he served for three years. Through these positions, he gained extensive experience in adjudicating complex civil and criminal matters, strengthening his reputation for fairness, legal insight, and judicial diligence.

In addition to his judicial roles, Mr. Macheyo has contributed to national development and community empowerment through board leadership. He served as a Board Member of the Zimbabwe Building Society for three years, and also sat on the Board of Zimbabwe Women Against Gender-Based Violence and HIV for three years, demonstrating his commitment to social justice and community welfare.

Since transitioning into private practice in September 2003, Mr. Macheyo has continued to excel as a legal practitioner. He brings particular expertise in civil and criminal litigation, offering clients seasoned advocacy grounded in decades of courtroom experience. His broad exposure across various legal environments positions him as a trusted adviser, strategic litigator, and respected leader within the legal fraternity.
